Russian archaeologists announced this week who found in the south of Russia the capital missing person of the kingdom of the Jázaros, semi nomadic a Turkish town that adopted the Judaism like religion, which represents a significant advance in the investigations on the old Jewish State.

One is a discovery of enormous importance, commented the head of the excavation, Dmitry Vasilyev, of the University of the State of Astrakhan, after returning of the site of excavations near the town of Samosdelka, to the north of the Caspian Sea.

Also, Vasilyev added: Now we can shed light on one of the most intriguing mysteries of that period: how they lived the Jázaros. We know very to little envelope they, about its funeral customs, their rites, their culture.

The city open pie was the State Capital of semi nomadic a Turkish town that adopted the Judaism like religion, from century VIII to century X, when it was captured and sacked by the governors of old Russia.

At the time of greater splendor, the state jázaro most of controlled the territories of present Russia, the western region of Kazakhstan, the east of the Ukraine, Azerbaiján and great parts of the region of the Caucasus.

The Arab chronicles talk about to the capital like Itil, but Vasilyev indicated that word could in fact talk about to the Volga River to borders of which the city was based, or to the zone of the delta of that river. Reason why it is known, Itil was a multi-ethnic place with cult places and judges for Christians, Jews, Muslims and pagans.

Until the moment, the rest of the city could not have been identified and it thought that they had been dragged by waters of the Caspian Sea.

The archaeologists were excavating in the area during last the nine years, but this is the first time that managed to find sufficient tests material to endorse their thesis, even the rest of one old strength.
