They discover that it could have the ocean under the terrestrial crust

A study published in the Nature magazine indicates that underneath the Earth surface it could have the ocean. The scientists think that the zones of greater electrical conductivity in the mantle, the heavy region that is between the terrestrial crust and the nucleus, expose the water presence.

The investigators produced a three-dimensional global map of the mantle in which the areas are indicated through which the electricity circulates of freer form. These hot spots of conductivity agreed with the zones of subduction, places in which the tectonic plates that divide the Earth surface are pushed downwards.

In agreement with Adam Schultz, professor of Oregon State University that co-directed the study, the model that its equipment developed to sample clearly a near association between the zones of subduction and the high conductivity, whose unique explanation is the water presence.

In fact, the scientists do not know what exact amount of water has in the Earth. There is some evidence that indicates that more water is much underneath I milk South Sea islander who the one that there is in all the oceans of the planet. How arrived the water until there? The scientists still do not have the answers to that question.

The scientists used soundings of registered magnetic fields for three decades by more than one hundred observatories to construct their map.

An Answer to Discovers that it could have the ocean under the terrestrial crust

  1. It goes, a very interesting discovery, without a doubt. Sometimes I saw a documentary one on the Coffer of Noah where it said that the waters of Universal Diluvio emerged from the Earth, but it did not see that it was very well based. This, however, yes is for taking into account.

It leaves an answer
