They discover a as great planet as Jupiter

Scientists of the University of Toronto are shortage a planet outside as great Solar System as Jupiter, but with a mass eight times superior to the one of this, that orbit around a star very similar to the Sun.

The totality of 300 classified extrasolar planets to date has been almost located using methods of indirect observation, but this it has seen itself in direct through telescope Gemini North, located in an observatory of Hawaii.

The new planet is in our galaxy, the Milky Route, to 500 years Earth light. Its temperature is much greater than the one of the Jupiter planet. Their discoverers have been able to catch images of the planet, which considers a great challenge, and have described the planet as very strange.

If we confirmed that the object gravitationally is tied to the star, will be a great advance for the study of exoplanetas, explains David Lafreniere, the director of the study published in Astropysical Journal Letters.
