They discover a system of tunnels and caves underneath the complex of pyramids of Giza

An enormous system of caves, cameras and tunnels hides underneath pyramids of Giza, according to a British explorer whom it affirms to have found the infraworld lost of the Pharaohs. Populated by bats and poisonous spiders, the underground complex was on the located limestone rock in the land underneath the pyramid in Giza.

There is intact archaeology there, as well as a delicate ecosystem that include colonies of bats and a species of spider that we have identified tentatively like white widow, it said to British explorer Andrew Collins.

Collins, that details to its conclusions in the Beneath book the Pyramids (Under pyramids), that will be published in September, looked for the entrance to the mysterious infraworld after reading the memories forgotten a diplomat and explorer of century XIX.

In his memories, the general consul British Henry Salt relates that he investigated an underground system of catacombs in Giza in 1817, in company of Italian explorer Giovanni Caviglia, said Collins. The document tells that both explored the caves until a distance of several hundreds of meters, arriving at four great rooms from where more corridors of the cave extended.

With the aid of the British egiptólogo Nigel Skinner-Simpson, Collins reconstructed the exploration that made Salt in the plateau, until locating the entrance of the lost catacombs in a tomb apparently not registered to the west of the Great Pyramid. In fact, the tomb presented/displayed a crack on the rock, which took to an enormous natural cave.

We have explored the caves until the air got to be too little to continue. They are very dangerous, with wells and invisible hollows, poisonous colonies of bats and spiders, said Collins.

According to Collins, the caves - that have tens of thousands, or perhaps hundreds of thousands of years can as much have inspired the development of the area of pyramids like the belief of old the Egyptians by an underworld. The old funeral texts allude clearly to the existence of an underground world near pyramids of Giza, said Collins to him to Discovery News.

In fact, Giza was well-known formerly like Rostau, that means the mouth of the passages. This it is the same name that leda a region of old well-known Egypt like the infraworld Duat. `Mouth of pasajes' is, without a doubt, a reference to the entrance to an underground world of caves, that rumored long time that existed underneath the plateau, said Collins to him to Discovery News.
