Thousands of Haitians renewed their fidelity to the Vudú on the occasion of the celebration of the day of the dead spirits or Gede and was concentrated in the cemeteries of all the country to honor the memory of which no longer they belong to this one world.

Another one of the essential characteristics of this religion of African origin is its deep fluidity, partly because it partly does not have liturgy nor theology written and by the diverse influences that it has had of other religions.

In addition one is a deeply democratic faith; as much the women as the men are priests and national or regional hierarchies of any type do not exist.

The day will completely continue dedicated to the veneration of the spirits of the Gede by all Haiti, with visits forced to the cemeteries but also with small local ceremonies as well as festive and sporadic manifestations in the streets.
