Pripyat, a ghost city by the disaster of Chernobyl

Pripyat, located to about two lilómetros of the power station of Chernobyl, is sadly famous for being the protagonist of one of the great disasters of century XX. 26 of April of 1986 explosion produced in his reactor number four releasing enormous amounts of radioactivity (400 times more radiation than the atomic bomb that fell on Hiroshima), highly injurious for the health. Three days later almost the 50,000 inhabitants whom the city had began to be evacuated, leaving the landscape stopped in the time by the sudden transfer. They never returned, nothing else that a few of its inhabitants of the environs, that due to their longevity, the radioactive effects are slower in their organisms.

It was founded on 1970 indeed to inhabit the workers of the power station and little by little it began to be developed. Nowadays it does not have inhabitants and only they visit its scientific territories, tourists and forces of the state that guard the territory, although is relatively easy to secure an entrance permission. The windows are open with the intention of which irresponsible passers-by have the temptation to spend the night in some of their many homes.

In spite of the highest indices of radioactivity irregularly distributed by the land, the floors and the houses have been sacked by thieves, taking the value things, although they almost remain the structures and elements of little value in the same state in which they were left. Were some messages of inhabitants who left their houses alerting to possible merodeadores quickly that they did not own value goods.
